United Airlines

Batavia, IL. May 10, 2006 – BFC and United Airlines have agreed to extend the contract for the printing and distribution of United’s Flight Attendant Operations Manual (FOAM).

United Airlines operates over 3,400 daily flights to more than 200 worldwide destinations. United employs over 20,000 flight attendants.

According to Dana Sorenson, Senior Staff Representative, Flight Attendant Standards and Policies, “United identified the need to shorten production lead times for their manuals and four quarterly revisions. We also needed to streamline the ordering process for bi-annual replacement pages. BFC has been able to reduce production lead times by 50% and created an online ordering system that enables the flight attendants to order replacement pages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Being able to find a partner that had a total solution from online ordering to print and fulfillment services has been critical in our ability to keep our flight attendants up to date with the most current information.”

Craig Eldridge, account executive for BFC, stated that, “Our success with United’s Onboard Service stems from our ability to be flexible. We listen to our customers, take the time to understand their business challenges and then create and implement the right solutions. The airline industry is an extremely competitive environment and helping United be more competitive is our goal.”

“By monitoring the pulse of the industry BFC is ensuring that our clients benefit from the latest and most effective technologies. Our Goal is to make print management simple and cost effective.”
